A lovely example of a violin from the German industrious age c.1890 The perfect antique instrument for a growing student with a string length of 310mm.
The front is of medium wide, evenly grained spruce with a nice warm-looking transparent varnish, the neck, ribs and two-piece back are of maple. With the new set-up, a new Despiau Superieur bridge, optimally fitted and adjusted for sound, a new robust Wittner Ultra tailpiece with 4 fine adjusters, and a new set of strings the instrument gained its full potential of a clear and balanced full-bodied sound.
