Pernambuco cello bows
The * series Pernambuco bows are a step up from an entry level Sandalwood or composite bow. (available in 4/4 and 3/4 sizes).
The ** graded Pernambuco bows are made from a higher grade of wood to produce a bow capable of covering a broad array of playing styles. (available in 4/4 size only).
The *** graded Pernambuco bows are made from specially selected woods chosen to help convey the expressive nature of the player, allowing for a broad tonal palette sure to evoke a wide range of emotion. (available in 4/4 size only).
Product Information
Pernambuco is a dense, heavy wood which has the right balance of strength, elasticity and responsiveness which make it an ideal material for better quality bows.
By tapering the round stick with a hint of octagonal shaping, these bows harness additional rigidity without creating a hard and one-dimensional tone.
The ebony frog is inlaid with mother of pearl slider and full Parisian eye, and the adjuster is very easy to operate.
How long will it take to arrive?
If the Bow is in stock, we will prepare it for you and usually dispatch on the next working day. If the Bow is not in stock we will let you know and special order it for you, this Bow will be prepared especially for you. To allow us time to make sure the Bow is perfect, this item has a 1-2 week lead time from point of order.
Postage Options
Once we have the best possible sound, the instrument can be sent out to you, anywhere in the UK, a postage charge is applied at the checkout, alternatively you can collect free of charge from our Workshop near Lincoln Free of charge. International postage is available, please get in touch for an individual quote.
