Product Information
A fantastic instrument choice for the advancing student, this Viola features ebony fittings throughout.
Professional Set Up Included
Our rental instruments are professionally set up by our resident Bridge Street Luthier to give you the best sound quality available. This set up includes peg adjustment, finger board resurfacing, top nut adjustment, sound post and bridge fitting, adjustments for optimal string height and playing comfort.
What’s included?
This rental package comes as as an outfit, this outfit contains a Viola, Bow, Case and Rosin, just unpack and play! For hygienic reasons shoulder rests are not part of the rental packet, but they can be bought separately and sent out to you with the rental outfit.
What happens when I order?
When your order is received our resident Luthier Laurentius will get in touch to say hello and talk you through the next steps, we will check your specific requirements and make sure you have everything you need to get started. We will prepare a rental agreement and send this over to you via email.
Please note: We are unable to special order any instrument or dispatch a rental outfit to you until the agreement has been signed and returned to us.
How long will it take to arrive?
If the Viola is in stock, we will prepare it for you and usually dispatch on the next working day. If the Viola is not in stock we will let you know and special order it for you, this Viola will be prepared especially for you. To allow us time to set the viola up for optimal sound and comfort, these instruments have a 1-2 week lead time from point of order.
Postage Options
Once we have the best possible sound, the instrument can be sent out to you, anywhere in the UK. Our web platform isn’t quite clever enough yet to add postage at the checkout without applying this charge every month. Because of this we invoice postage costs to you separately and we will give a choice of delivery options once you order, alternatively you can collect free of charge from our Workshop near Lincoln.
Paying Rent
The ‘every month’ price within this product listing is a monthly payable amount. By checking out this rental package you are setting up automatic monthly recurring payment for this amount, to be deducted from your bank account. The rent will be charged on the monthly anniversary day that you started this subscription. For this instrument there is a minimum renting period of 12 months, after which the agreement becomes a rolling month-to-month agreement.
There is always a chance that our on site rental prices will rise with inflation, you can rest assured that your monthly rent will NEVER be raised mid-contract, nor when the instrument is with you on a rolling month-to-month agreement!
What happens if you want to buy your instrument?
Any of our rental Violas can be purchased outright, you can find the product listings within our shop. If you are a rental customer and would like to purchase your rental instrument or upgrade to purchase another instrument from our shop, we offer 50% of up to one years rent paid as a loyalty discount towards the cost of purchasing an instrument at the end of your rental agreement. This discount can be claimed up to 6 months after terminating your rental agreement.
